Description
Describe the Bug
Description
When copying a book, the order of chapters and pages is not preserved.
The copied book has a different and inconsistent ordering compared to the original, even though the structure (chapters/pages) is correctly duplicated.
Steps to reproduce
Create a book with multiple chapters and pages
Manually define a specific order (or use numbered prefixes like 01), 02), etc.)
Copy the book
Open the copied book
Expected behavior
- The copied book should preserve:
- Chapter order
- Page order within chapters
Actual behavior
- Chapters and pages appear in a different order
- The original ordering is lost
Additional notes
- The issue occurs even when copying within the same shelf
- Applying sorting does not fix the problem:
- Setting sort to "None" → Save
- Then to "Alphabetical" → Save
- No change occurs
- Manual reordering is unreliable and may require multiple attempts
Impact
This makes book duplication unreliable for structured documentation, since ordering must be rebuilt manually and cannot be trusted after copying.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a book with multiple chapters and pages
- Manually define a specific order (or use numbered prefixes like 01), 02), etc.)
- Copy the book
- Open the copied book
Expected Behaviour
The copied book should preserve:
-
Pages and Chapter order into the Book
-
Page order within chapters
