How can I start contributing to open source as a beginner (TypeScript focus)?

I’m new to GitHub and open-source contributions, and I’d like to start contributing, especially in TypeScript projects.

What I know

• Basic TypeScript
• Git & GitHub fundamentals

What I tried

• Searched for "good first issue"
• Explored a few repositories but found it confusing to choose where to start

My questions

1. How do I find beginner-friendly and active projects?
2. How do I choose the right issue as a first contribution?
3. Any tips to get my first pull request accepted?
