I think the mobile app should respect the settings I use on the website. That's why we use tabs - so that the individual developer can decide how they want to read the indentations. Many prefer 4. I prefer 2. Some probably even 3. I don't think ANYONE prefers 8 spaces per tab, unless perhaps somebody really LOVES COBOL. Anyway, the GitHub app's AI suggested I include this info here:
This kind of cross-platform consistency issue is something the GitHub team actively tracks and addresses, so reporting it helps improve the app for everyone. We'll see. 😉 This issue has already gone 4 months without a single reply. |

Screen space is at a premium on most mobile devices. The default tab size of 8 makes reading code difficult. Please could you expose this feature, or at the very least change the default to 4 for C/C++, which I believe is a far more common setting.
